Manny Gomez—known to his teachers and friends as a thoughtful, driven, and curious student—has been part of the Westminster Public Schools community since preschool. A product of ECC, Sunset Ridge, Shaw Heights, and now Westminster High School, Manny’s journey is rooted in his community and shaped by a passion for growth and learning.

“I see Westminster Public Schools as a resource I can use to set up my life before I know exactly what to do with it,” Manny shared. And he’s making the most of it. From a strong academic foundation to pursuing future opportunities in hospitality and business, he’s determined to build a meaningful life—step by step.

Manny has his sights set on business school, with aspirations to attend graduate school after college to make sure he's "verified for whatever [he's] trying to do." He’s particularly inspired by the hospitality industry, and he’s hoping to join the culinary program next year—a nod to his brother Efrain, who’s already found his passion there.

Although Manny has looked into colleges as far as Hawaii, he’s still weighing options with a practical eye on tuition and affordability. Regardless of where he lands, his dedication to education is clear: “I want to get as much education as I can first.”

• Star Educator: One person who’s made a big difference in my life is Jessica Coulter, my counselor. She’s put up with a lot, but she’s always there to listen, always gives you advice—even if it’s what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear. I’m really thankful for that.
