HOMECOMING PARADE WILL RETURN TO WESTMINSTER ARTS DISTRICT
The Westminster Public Schools homecoming parade on Saturday, September 21 will, once again, wind its way down 73rd Avenue showcasing student floats and exposing parade watchers to a historic part of town they might not normally visit.

Organizers are excited by the route which proved to be very popular last year.

This year’s route will be one block shorter to not tie up traffic along Meade Street near 72nd and Lowell. Westminster police are helping to coordinate the route with district leaders local businesses and residents.

The parade will start in the parking lot of Westminster High School and make its way north on Bradburn to East 73rd Avenue. It will head east to Newton and then turn South on Newton Street.

The parade theme and more parade details will be announced on Friday.

What’s Up WPS will keep you posted.
