‘CANDYLAND’ CHOSEN AS THEME OF 2024 HOMECOMING PARADE
Parade-goers will likely walk away with more candy than usual following this year’s parade on September 21st.
The reason is pretty obvious.
‘Candyland’ has been picked by the Westy Student Council as the theme for the annual parade that will once again wind its way down 73rd Avenue showcasing student floats and celebrating education in Westminster Public Schools.
The parade is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. and will leave from the parking lot of Westminster High School. Making its way north on Bradburn to East 73rd Avenue, the student-decorated floats will then turn South on Newton Street.
This year’s route will be one block shorter so as not to not tie up traffic along Meade Street near 72nd and Lowell. Westminster police are helping to coordinate the route with district leaders, local businesses, and residents.
This fun community event is a great way to spend a Saturday morning with neighbors and show your support for WPS students. Hope to see you there!
