Making an Impact

Ted Chavez worked for WPS for 33 years before his death in 2023. 

Ted was a driving trainer in the Transportation Department and for many years made a lasting impact on the students he would drive to and from school. Here Ted recalls the connections he made over the years with kids, many who didn’t have the basic necessities that many take for granted. “Sometimes kids share things with the driver that they might not tell others about.”
