Fred Awards
Have you seen or experienced excellent customer service? Do you know a WPS employee who goes above and beyond, or who has done something extraordinary for our kids and school communities?
Nominate them to receive the Westminster Public Schools FRED Award!
The Fred award honors employees who go above and beyond demonstrating excellent customer service in WPS. The award is given out quarterly and is named after a Colorado mailman profiled in the book "The Fred Factor" written by author Mark Sanborn.
The national bestseller explains that “passion in your work and life can turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.” In addition to being publicly recognized at the Board of Education meeting, recipients will receive a copy of the book “The Fred Factor”, a lapel pin and an engraved trophy.
Nomination Criteria
Any WPS staff member who:
- Makes you feel welcome whenever you interact with them
- Maintains their composure when faced with challenging or difficult interactions.
- Advocates for the needs of our customers (parents, students, guests, vendors, board members, community members and neighbors) even when it makes their job, or the job of the team more challenging.
