Professional Development
Westminster Public Schools is committed to the growth and development of each individual employee in our organization. We believe a highly-professional workforce will yield great results for our students and community.
In addition to building specific training and professional development, the Professional Development team provides ongoing and ever-changing courses through “symposium style” offerings that are self-selected. In other words, teachers can personalize their own development based upon their individual needs. Moreover, any teacher, new or experienced can attend a self-paced or instructor led course in PowerSchool. All courses that are approved and offered are eligible to count toward both induction, and Colorado Department of Education re-certification.
We encourage you to explore the Professional Development options in PowerSchool and register for activities that will help you grow professionally. Teachers can register for a course in PowerSchool, which will maintain a record of professional development participation under the Transcript tab. These records can be provided to help teachers maintain/renew licensure requirements with the Colorado Department of Education (CDE).
