Organizational Wellness

Wellness is more than self-care. At WPS our goal is to design and provide systems that support our employees as an organization. Examples of this include:

  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Wellness newsletter and employee resource website
  • Data-informed responses to employee wellbeing surveys
  • In-house mental health education opportunities including Mental Health First Aid and ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training)
  • Wellness events and activities (District-wide step challenges, financial wellness night, 8-week stress management courses)
  • Employee Assistance Program to provide access for any employee and household members to address and resolve personal and workplace challenges such as:
    • Short-term therapy for work or family stress and anxiety
    • Financial and legal counseling
    • Childcare and Eldercare
    • Alcohol and Drug Abuse
    • Grief issues

Relational Wellness

At WPS, we recognize the importance of nurturing positive relationships, fostering a climate of psychological safety, and building supportive networks.
