International Baccalaureate

Westminster Public Schools is proud to offer the The International Baccalaureate® program to all Juniors and Seniors attending Westminster High School.
IB at Westminster High School
IB is designed to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who are motivated to succeed. Students will take some subjects at higher level (HL) and some at standard level (SL). HL and SL courses differ in scope and students are expected to demonstrate a greater body of knowledge, understanding and skill at higher level.

This program is available for juniors and seniors only.
- Students can pursue the Career Programme, and will enroll in up to four advanced courses and identified core requirements.
- Students can enroll in up to four individual courses per year as certificate courses.

The IB programme aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment. These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
