CBS
We are the largest district in the nation to use a Competency Based System in all of our schools. CBS requires students to show mastery of learning topics before moving on to the next level. This approach allows some students to progress quickly while others may take more time to learn. The end goal is that students are prepared for the all-important day after graduation.
Anytime Anywhere Learning
WPS students are offered the unique opportunity to meet their proficiency scale targets inside AND outside the classroom, as well as to help students connect school to real-life experiences. This is learning that puts ownership into the hands of the students!
Career Technical Education
The CTE program at Westminster High School is among the most robust in the state. From industry certifications to concurrent enrollment opportunities, WHS CTE equips students with valuable skills essential for success in today's dynamic job market..
International Baccalaureate
Available to juniors and seniors, IB is designed to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who are motivated to succeed. Students are expected to demonstrate a greater body of knowledge, understanding and skill at higher level.
PEDAL: Gifted Education
The PEDAL Program serves eligible gifted and talented students who demonstrate high leadership or creative potentials or high performance academically, intellectually, and in the performing arts.
Seal of Biliteracy
The Seal of Biliteracy was approved by the State of Colroado in 2017 and is for all students who achieve a high level of proficiency in English and another language. Earning the Seal of Biliteracy helps set students apart in their college and career paths.
